Located in Connecticut, where a tradition of service to the West began with products such as the Colt, the Winchester, and the Stetson, Luberto's Sewing Machines, LLC manufactures their CLASSIC Custom Stitcher and its accessories in a modernized facility purchased in 1996. Luberto's works closely with their excellent local foundries, machine shops, woodworking shops, and suppliers of precision parts to maintain the highest standard of excellence in every component of their products and proudly proclaims their products, "Made in the USA."
Luberto's Sewing Machines has been in business since 1972, incorporated as a Limited Liability Company in 1998. Tony Luberto has over 30 years technical experience in industrial & commercial sewing equipment, and has developed specialized sewing systems for the aerospace industry as well as working with product developers in stitching of Kevlar and other space-age materials.
We have traditionally approached our customers' machine and service needs from the "whole environment" standpoint, and believe that success is dependent not only in providing the best machine for any particular work, but in maximizing usage and efficiency of the machine. Important to that concept is the provision of efficient, comfortable and pleasant workstations, attachments, and accessories to enhance productivity and versatility, and operator maintenance training materials to keep machines at peak performance.
Our evolution from the adaptation of standard sewing equipment to special needs to becoming a full manufacturer of the CLASSIC Custom Stitcher started in the 1980's, when we became the New England Rep and Service Center for Ferdinand, Inc., makers of the 900B (BULL) for the saddle industry. In 1996, as part of our dealership agreement with that corporation and it's offshoot, ASE Mfg., Luberto's took over the 900B and other modified machines produced by Ferdinand, Inc. and became ASE's primary national and international dealer for the No. 9 Harness Stitcher, a totally new machine designed for the leather industry.
As part of our commitment we wrote the Operating and Service Manual and produced our first video, the No. 9 Operating & Service Video, realizing that most of our customers and machine users had little of no access to qualified service personnel. The success of that video lead us to product videos for the Ferdinand machines and for standard walking foot machines as well, giving small businesses the ability to maintain their own machines without costly down time or expensive service costs.
In 1999 Luberto's Sewing Machines, LLC. received the rights to manufacture the No. 9. We began a complete analysis of the machine and undertook a full re-design and re-engineering. From new molds and heavier duty castings we carried our demand for excellence right through to heavy duty bobbin winders and our design of a unique multi-purpose foot.
Luberto's Sewing Machines, LLC. continues to lead the way in heavy stitching machines. From our Service Videos through our advanced attachment designs and our efficient workstations right up to adding choice of color to enhance your workshop, we lead where others follow.
Every CLASSIC is custom built. We'd love to build one for you.
